Set up your account, upload your data, and process your model in just a few simple steps.
Make an Account
Go to https://app.mapware.io.
To manually create an account, click "Don't have an account? Create an account". Then enter your first and last name, email address, and create a password. Or, choose "Sign up with Google".
Check the box if you agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy & Cookie Policy.
Click Create My Account. You will receive an email asking you to verify your email address.
In the verification email, click Activate My Account. You will then be redirected to your Mapware account.
If you chose Sign up with Google, you do not need to verify your email. Simply select Sign in with Google every time you return to Mapware.
Create a Project
Click Create Project in the left column.
In the Project Name field, give your project a unique name.
If you are on multiple teams, assign your project to a team the Project Ownership drop-down list.
You can add "Project Tags" with the Add tags button.
Upload Your Files
your files into Mapware, or click Select photos & files to choose the files to upload from your computer. You can upload images (20 files minimum required) as well as Ground Control Point (GCP) files and GPS Correction files, which are both optional.
Allowed image file types are: JPEG, RAW, TIFF, or PNG.
Allowed GCP and GPS Correction file types are: TXT, CSV, XLS, XLSX, or OBS.
Click Next.
You will see the "Uploading" status bar in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen.
You will receive an email notification when your files have uploaded.
Once your files are uploaded, you can review your Photos, File Types, Ground Control Points, and GPS Corrections.
Or, click Next to continue.
Process Your Model
In your Mapware dashboard, click the name of the Project you want to open.
Click +Process new model to create a model.
Give your model a unique name, or continue with a default name.
Confirm the photos and files you want to process. You can add photos and files with the Add photos & files button. To remove files, click on the "X".
Determine Your Processing Parameters
Set the photo resolution, number of key points, and number of tie points.
You can review, adjust, or add ground control points.
Review Your Configuration
The final step is to review your settings. You will see the processing credits required to process the model. You can edit sections, or click "Begin processing my model".
You will see a confirmation page indicating your model is in processing. Click "Done" to go back to your project.
You will receive an email notification when your model is processed and ready for you to view and export.
View & Export Your Model
Click the name of the Project containing the data you chose to process for your model.
You will see "Models" in the first tab of the project. Click the model name to open it.
The types of output you see in the Model Viewer depend on the quality of the data you uploaded and include: map or 3D model, sparse point cloud, dense point cloud, digital elevation model (DEM), or 3D mesh.
Click "Export" or "Share", and choose the file type(s) you want to export (LAS, TIFF, OBJ), and select a coordinate system (required if you are exporting a dense point cloud, DEM, or orthomosaic).
Exports may take a moment to prepare.
You will receive an email notification when your exports are ready.
Exported models will appear under the "Exports" tab.
